Vanilla Shake
For some, giving up dairy is hard. I think I struggled with cheese more than I ever thought I would. I’m often asked what kind of ice cream do you buy? Oat? Coconut? Soy?There really are some great choices on the market today. My favourite though is right from those bashed up bananas that have sat on the counter too long. I always have about 3-4 bananas sliced and ready to go in the freezer for smoothies or “nice cream”. This is one of my all-time favourites - the classic vanilla shake.
2 frozen bananas - I slice these up ahead of freezing them, so they’re easy to toss into the blender
1 tbsp of vanilla extract
½ cup plant milk (for an extra creamy treat try Earth’s Own Oat Barista Edition)
Add ingredients to blender, blend well. Add more milk if needed.
To make this tropical, you can add:
2 tbsp coconut cream
1/4 cup frozen coconut
1/2 cup pineapple
